About us

Honey Lodge is not a usual name for a game lodge. The name is as unique as its origin, which is from the owners profession, bee keeping.

Honey Lodge is situated in the Dinokeng Game Reserve which is an important honey producing area. In July the bush surrounding honey lodge is blanketed with breath taking orange aloe flowers. These aloe flowers are an important nectar source for the bees to produce  the unique South African Aloe Flower Honey.

Location

Nestled in the bushveld, HONEY LODGE has a prime location in Dinokeng Game Reserve, which is home to the Big 5. It is ideal for a weekend getaway, and is situated  approximately 40km north of Pretoria and only 100km from O.R Thambo International Airport. Unlike the game reserves in the north of South Africa, Dinokeng is a Maleria free zone.

Honey Lodge is a Self Catering facility equipped with a fully functional kitchen. Guests can enjoy a lazy afternoon in the lapa with a 180 degree view overlooking the kaallaagte valley, spruit and dams, giving you and your guests the perfect vantage point to view game as they walk past.
